The Consultant II™ is a top-to-bottom rejuvenation of the classic product. It produces the most advanced and comprehensive set of before-and-after analysis reports available anywhere. It is both simple and complex at the same time. Complex in quantity of functions and formulas, and simple to use through the use of abundant macros (VBA).

Premise

The most important mission of a business consultant is analyzing a client’s business, detecting deficiencies, and offering solutions to improve their bottom line. It has to be done with great efficiency using readily available tools. The Consultant II™ does just that, and does it better than any system currently available. You need only Microsoft Excel 2010 or 2013 to execute it.

Challenge
There is an enormous need for qualified business consultants. Couple this need with the predicted boom in business formations in expanding economies, we have the recipe for a consultancy vacuum. Our authors decided something had to be done to help the profession be more alluring, efficient, and productive. The What-if Data Entry worksheet is a powerful tool. After entering financial data in the Master Data Entry worksheet, you can use the spinners in the What-if Data Entry worksheet to propose corrective actions. This feature was developed to demonstrate the impact of cumulative expense reductions on net income combined with only marginal increases in revenue.

Consultant II Review - New User 
I just used The New Consultant II in the comprehensive analysis of an electronics manufacturing company composed of several production units. Although overall cost controls were in place, there was no clear profit picture of each unit. The revenue generated from these operating entities represented the core of the net operating income.  

Using this program, I created financial models for each component, which became the basis for their new business plan.  The units were separated into individual profit centers resulting in greater accountability for middle management. New incentive programs were established based on increased profit performance.

Well done JaxWorks, and thanks for finally upgrading this valuable tool.

Consultant II Review - Experienced User 

I began using The Consultant 10 years ago and I'm afraid you have forgotten to stress one of its strongest features: It is a Long Term Internal Management Tool.

After completing a client, I leave behind a customized and abbreviated version of the Consultant for them to monitor their operations on a long term basis. This placed management in charge of their own monitoring and gives me continuing opportunities to revisit and update their performance analysis reports.

As with the Mother systems, the new Consultant contains many great features for a thorough analysis of a business. One of the best features I use is the Business Audit System that is made a part of the Summary Analysis.

This Business Audit System gets management (the owners) involved with and aware of what their business needs are and gets them to realize they need to consider each and every one of these items seriously if they truly want their business to succeed.

A successful business has looked at these factors and has made a concentrated effort to make sure they all are in place.

Dear JaxWorks Team,

Thanks for the update notice. Downloaded it today.

I have been producing spreadsheets for client businesses for over 30 years. I bought the original Consultant in the Excel 2003 format years ago. It has been a valuable system analysis template for 95% of my client engagements. Your newest version completely blows my mind.

If a client asked me to produce a customized clone of your new version for their business, I would turn down the job. Why, you might ask? I did a job estimate and the invoice would be in the thousands of dollars. Well beyond a reasonable expense.

Thanks for saving me tons of time and keep up the good work!
